Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

THESE MAY BE FAMILIAR BUT I'LL POST ANYWAY.  NOT SURE I DID BEFORE.
LOST IN THE TRANSLATION.....
1.  IN A YOGOSLAVIAN HOTEL:  THE FLATTENING OF UNDERWEAR WITH PLEASURE IS THE JOB OF THE CHAMBERMAID.
2.  IN A JAPANESE HOTEL:  YOU ARE INVITED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE CHAMBERMAID.

ITS STILL GRAY OUTDOORS BUT NO RAIN FELL NOR DID IT GET GUSTY.
I WENT LATE TO COFFEE MORNING JUST FOR THE CHITCHAT.  I DID NOT EAT ANYTHING.  THEN WHEN MOST OF THE LADIES LEFT, THOSE LEFT ARE AMONG THE FOOD PLANNING GROUP SO WE WENT OVER THE NEEDS OF THE POTLUCK AND THE MEALS AND THINGS STILL NEEDED.  I WAS ASKED TO MAKE MY SAUCY BEEF NOODLE CASSEROLE INSTEAD OF THE POTATOES.  A COUPLE SAID THEY ENJOYED IT SO MUCH THEY ATE THE WHOLE THING IN ONE MEAL.  SO THE ITALIAN POTATOES ARE OFF MY LIST.  BESIDES, THE CASSY IS SIMPLER TO MANAGE.
ONE OF OUR LADIES HAS HER BREAST SURGERY ON THURSDAY SO I OFFERED TO MAKE HER FOOD NOW AND THEN.  FOR FRIDAY SHE IS ON THE LIST FOR CHICKEN RICE SOUP.  SHE HAS CHANGED HER FOOD OFFERING ALSO SINCE SHE WANTS TO MAKE SOMETHING THAT'S SUPER SIMPLE FOR HER TO DO SO IT WILL BE ONE OF 3 DIFFERENT CHICKEN RECIPES.  SHE IS A FORMER CHEF SO I KNOW IT WILL BE GOOD.  ANYWAY I WILL BE SURE SHE HAS FOOD TO EAT EVERY DAY, WHETHER ITS TUNA SANDWICHES OR A CASSEROLE OR SOUP.
I GOT MY LAPS IN BEFORE THE MEETING.  TOMORROW IS OUR FLU SHOT DAY.  I WILL BE THERE FOR BOTH.
I WORKED ON CASPER TODAY.  NOW I AM READY TO CHOOSE BORDER FABRIC FOR THE LITTLE GUY.
WILL WORK ON THE JIGSAW PUZZLE.  NEED TO GET IT DONE BEFORE THE POTLUCK.  WE NEED THE TABLE SPACE FOR EATING.

JONI......WHEN I MOVED BACK TO MAINE AFTER LIVING IN FLORIDA FOR 3 YEARS I HAD TO ADJUST TO THE TEMPS.  IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG TO BE IN THE RHYTHM AGAIN.  BEING BACK IN VERMONT WILL BE A SMALL LEARNING CURVE FOR YOU.

HAVE A GOOD DAY.  HUGS FOR ALL. QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Good day all,

Sandra, I wondered if you all got that storm the weather people were predicting.  We had a very light shower of rain early yesterday and that was it.

Joni, the leaf colors here in NE Ohio are dull also.  Some have started to turn red, but most are dull tan and brown.

Sandra, it is so great to see you and your apartment friends taking care of one another.  Sharing food is a wonderful idea and you will not have to eat the same thing all week.

I went and got groceries today and it was $200 for a few bags.   Aaron and Katie are flying to California  today.  Katie's brother is getting married and they both wanted to be at the ceremony even though Katie was there last month for a friend's wedding.  So, we have the kids and dog all week once again.

I have never hired a house cleaner, but would most likely do the same with decluttering and putting things away.  My house cleaner does it for free, like Janet's.

Nothing else to say, will wish you all a good day.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

I'm by myself.  Howard is lunching with Dave.  It's me and the black squirrel who came for a drink of rain water in a cup on the deck and two cute sparrows.  As with many of us, the wildlife warms my heart.  In the background, I hear a crow cawing...

BJ, sorry about your legs.  I wish it was different.  I know Sharon is a good friend as well as a helper for you and Frank.   I'm thankful for her for you both.

QB, what fortitude!  I doubt I could pass up something tasty like you do.  Especially, when you're out socializing, always a good excuse!  I do believe you were the first person to reach out to others in your bldg. and share and it's obviously caught on.

Trish, you've been on quite the merry-go-round.  Sorry about leaving your glasses and having to drive back, not knowing what you'd face there...

Andrew's new (old, built in 1927) apt. is across the street from a elem. school and the nearby church.  He told his folk that at 9 in the morning and at 9 pm, bells ring and a entire song is played.  The church's name, St. Andrew's.  Serendipity?

Time to get off here and carry on.  Friend, Albert just dropped off something.  Carol was in the car, so we got to tell each other goodbye for the second time.  They'll leave for Florida soon.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

It’s been a long day. I had PT, and it was reevaluation time. I said I feel like I’m maintaining but not progressing, and I can do almost everything at home that I do there. She agreed, and printed out what I should do at home, and discharged me. We came home, had a bowl of soup, then went to my EPS cardiologist appointment. Of course he was running behind. The metro logic guy (the implanted recorder device) said they’d seen 52 patients that day! All is stable, see him again in April. We went from there to Olive Garden for an early dinner of soup, salad and breadsticks. I get them to put the dressing on the side, so we could bring home the rest of the salad. And of course, we get a second bowl to go.

So now I’m ready to sit and relax. Probably no sewing today. The yellow and orange strips are up on my blog.

Sandra, I love the sense of community your building has!

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

This site is playing up for me today,I keep getting the "this is not a secure site" message. The iPad is sometimes very protective!!

Now I'm on the desktop, it has its own issues, it's taken to refusing to send emails!! No idea why, the setting must be wrong, so we have to send all our mail from the iPad, technology!! I keep getting a message, 'retry with another server/account'.

SANDRA the sharing you started is absolutely fantastic, now a pot luck dinner,  you are a real trend setter. and I know you all enjoy NOT having to eat a whole lot of the same foods when you have to cook for yourselves, making the cassy is a good one for you, and I think even better than the potato dish.
Even the ladies/gents that don't cook could maybe supply plates/cups/cutlery, or do the clean up - or even bring some drinks.

DEVONNE so did you get the work done?? Such a pain when you have plans and it doesn't happen.

INDY my days have been busy without him, he seems to be away all the time theses days, I dislike his 'new' friend, he has appalling manners socially, he rings early mornings and late evening, just to talk bowls, Megan has told her dad he best not introduce the guy to her,  she's be telling him off LOL

He is married, but has too W that he told his wife he is a sportsman and will go to sports when he wants, she only goes out with her daughter, he never takes her out, I have told W that he is heading the same way, and  he best watch out, I won't stand for that treatment. Bowls is good for them, but not at the expense of relationships, maybe his wife doesn't even like him anymore LOL

HOLLY I finally got to see your strips, they are great! Will you back the whole runner? And then quilt. Julie quits her runners with the long end at the top, She was showing me one the other day is how I know, I thought she did it on her domestic, but she did it on the long arm.

STRINGS good to hear the appt went well!! How is the haircut now, I had mine done yesterday. It's doing OK, and I can manage it well.

JONI nice to hear from you!! Hope you settle in well, are you there for good now? It will be quite a change from the heat.

CHERYL not great that you have the kids again for the week, it is tiring, I know you don't mind, but we get tired as we get older LOL I can't keep up with the boys any more, at least they can look after themselves when Megan & Gary go away.

I have been making some more neck coolers, but I need to get my binding cut tomorrow, picked up Dean form School, he got 2 more exams back from his finals for Yr 11, topped the year in Busniness Studies, and in the top 25% of both his Maths classes, he will drop Geography for his final year, he needed to drop one subject, but if he did fairly well in Maths he was going to keep both (Advanced Maths & Extensions Maths)
He just finished reading one of his required books for his final year, King Lear is the shakespeare part for English, and 1984 was one of the novels, we chatted about it on the way home, he found it interesting, and said you could tell it was written a long time ago - 1949 - (LOL ) by the language.

My SIL had a brthday today she just sent all the pics to the family chat, but we now have another small chat for just brother SiL, my sis and I, I started it when I asked to visit them, she sent me the update on his tests to it and I copied sis in.
His tests are not good, cancer has spread in the liver, and now appearing in one lung as well, he doesn't look well. I saw he was drinking at the lunch they had, I suspect he has really given up, there is no more treatment unless he makes it to one of the trials, that won't cure the cancer though, I suspect it's gone too far. I know they can give him radiation for pain management. He told me he has some pain on his side ( where the liver is) I told him to tell the DRs, he just shrugged - I can't help him, I offered to make him some smoothies that would give him some energy and nutrition, but he refused. It's his life, and he has chosen how to live it.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

👏 So happy the pool is covered.  The irrigation guy helped DH get the cover on! Great that I didn’t have to help with that this year.  The darn thing is huge and heavy and inevitably either it or I wind up in the pool.  Not fun when the air temp and water temp is 62.  The main problem is that one person I’d 6’ and about 190 lbs and the other is 5’5” and 116#… in a battle of pull me/ drag me the short one will always lose. lol.
We never got anything from the storm but then we’re hours from the coast.  My DD’s area got several days of heavy rain in NY.
Do any of you have weird dreams?  I do.  My DD does too.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

MALAPROPS.....
1.  THE POLICE SURROUNDED THE BUILDING ON THREE SIDES AND THREW AN ACCORDION AROUND THE BLOCK.
2.  YOU'RE IN FOR A SHREWD AWAKENING.

WE ARE INTO FALL TEMPS.  TODAY ITS ITS THE 50S.  WILL BE 50S AND 60S NOW FOR AWHILE.

TRISH.....FRIENDS LIKE THAT W DOESN'T NEED.  MAYBE HE WILL WEAN HIMSELF AWAY FROM HIM.

HOLLY......GOOD NEWS FROM YOUR DOCTOR REPORTS.  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

CHERYL......YOU ARE RIGHT, I'M SURE.  ACTUALLY, WHEN MY DAU PLANS TO COME WASH MY FLOORS FOR ME I ALWAYS PICK UP AND STRAIGHTEN A FEW THINGS BEFORE SHE GETS HERE.  ITS NOT THE SAME AS CLEANING.

JUDY.....YES, I STARTED THE MOVEMENT TO TAKE MEALS TO NEIGHBORS.  I REMEMBER IT WELL.  MY 90-YR OLD NEIGHBOR JAN AT THE END OF THE HALL CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL, WEAK, USING A WALKER, AND GENERALLY NOT IN THE MOOD TO COOK.  I BROUGHT HER A COUPLE OF TUNA SANDWICHES, CHIPS AND PICKLES FOR HER LUNCH.  THEN FOR SUPPER I BROUGHT HER CHICKEN RICE SOUP.  SHE DIDN'T LAST MANY WEEKS AFTER THAT BUT IN THE MEANTIME I MADE HER A FEW HOME-COOKED MEALS SO SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO COOK.
NOW OUR FRIEND PEGGY IS FACING BREAST SURGERY TOMORROW AND IS ON OUR LIST.  THERE ARE 4 OF US NOW THAT CONCERN OURSELVES WITH OTHERS ONE WAY OR ANOTHER.  SHARON NEXT DOOR WENT TO THE FOOD PANTRY AND TALKED WITH THE MGR THERE AND BROUGHT HOME A WEEK'S WORTH OF FROZEN DINNERS FOR PEGGY.  SHE WON'T HAVE TO COOK.  I WILL MAKE HER CHICKEN RICE SOUP FRIDAY NITE.  SHE HAS HER SURGERY THURSDAY MORNING EARLY.  JUST THE SMALL REMOVAL.  THEN THEY SAID SHE HAS TO TAKE SPECIAL MEDS FOR 5 YEARS EVERY DAY TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE.  NO RADIATION.  I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT WELL FOR HER.

I HAD MY FLU AND COVID BOOSTERS THIS MORNING ALONG WITH SOME OTHERS IN THE BLDG.  ITS GOOD TO HAVE THAT OVER WITH.
BINGO TONITE.  I DON'T THINK THERE WILL BE VERY MANY OF US SO WE MAY EVEN HAVE TO CANCEL.  I'LL KNOW WHEN I GET THERE.
IN THE MEANTIME I MADE UP A BATCH OF TUNA FISH SALAD AND HAD A TOASTED SANDWICH ALONG WITH A FEW CHIPS AND A PICKLE FOR MY LUNCH.  I MAY REPEAT IT FOR SUPPER SINCE AFTER BINGO I AM ALWAYS TIRED AND DON'T FEEL LIKE COOKING ANYTHING.
I HAVE THE CHICKEN THIGHS FOR THE CKN SOUP, SOME N. Y. SIRLOIN AND 8 OZ OF GROUND BEEF ALSO DEFROSTING.  I THINK I AM COVERED FOR MEALS FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

THAT'S IT LADIES.  WISHING YOU A GOOD AND SAFE DAY.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Really enjoying this weather. I've been sitting outside a lot, always with my morning coffee. I wish it would stay like this year round! 81 yesterday was perfect!

Today, 10/15, I moved into this house exactly 5 years ago on this date. It doesn't seem like it's been 5 years, only 2 or 3. I do love not having any steps. I dreaded moving into a subdivision, but I have been pleasantly surprised at how quite it is. I am in a cul de sac with older people who have grown children. I thought bikes would be going by every day and kids would be screaming....never happened, lol.

Linda, do you and Darrell still drive or does someone take you to your appts.?

The first puzzle I bought is a 20x27 and my tilting table is 25" (facing me). I don't plan on working a 1,000 pc. puzzle that can't face me, lol. I will move it to a table in my sewing room and start another puzzle. It never entered my mind to get a tilting & a rotating table.

Trish, is your brother older than you? How far away is he from where you live? I know you want to help, but it sounds like he has accepted his condition....so sad and I'm so sorry. Dean is very smart with math...not one of my strong subjects (my weakest to be honest and I hated bookkeeping, lol).

I texted the guy that didn't show up, chewed him out & hired another guy that was here in an hour. He is coming back to remove all the bushes at no extra charge. He has a stomach bug, so I hope he shows up later, lol. It looks so much better, but will look even better when I do my new plan next Spring.

Janet, you need one of those automatic pool covers! What a chore that must be. I don't know how you get it across the pool without it falling in.

I'm headed to Walmart...need sour cream and a few other things. Next week I am shopping at Costco. I will wait until then to buy my Wild Planet albacore tuna. One 5 oz. can at Walmart is $4.47!

Joni, will you travel back to Florida as a snowbird or stay in VT all the time? It's good to hear from you.

BJ, as always, sending love and prayers.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Trish. I plan to keep each strip separate. I’ll put the backing and strip right sides together and sew around, leaving enough room to turn right side out, then do some top stitching. No batting, for weight reasons.

I did the pink and red strips today, just the purple left to do. Then I can back them.

We had lunch with our friend Mary Ester today at a diner. I had breakfast for lunch, which I love, and brought half home. Tomorrow Ralph has breakfast with the Veterans. Then he and his brother are having lunch with an old friend (who was Ralph’s best man) that they haven’t seen in about 30 years. So I’ll have plenty of sewing time.

Our leaves are just starting to turn, and it’s also more like they are fading. Gas is $2.85 at the corner, and no sign of grocery prices dropping.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Prices here gas/food haven’t changed much.
Errands today.  Usually I would take care of everything but have not been driving so DH has to go.  🙄
Devonne- we have a roller thingy for the solar cover but the winter cover is too large, too heavy, etc for any type of automatic cover.  And yes the cover has slid in but what I dread is when I get pulled in by it.  This time of year the water is too cold.  And somehow I always wind up working on the deep end.  Ever try to get out of 8 plus feet of cold water fully clothed?  Trust me, it’s not easy! LOL
Devonne- I sent you a PM the other day.
Tomorrow the generator company is coming to repair/replace the bad parts.  It just never ends.
   Gotta go.

I got the red and purple strips done, pix up on the blog. Next is backings for them all.

I did my PT, then ten minutes on the treadmill. Tidied up the kitchen, had breakfast, computer time, then to the sewing room!

It’s bright and sunny and 56 out. Ralph is a lunch with his brother and friend, and I guess we’ll do leftovers for dinner.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

WONKY ADS.........
1.  FOR SALE.  THREE CANARIES OF UNDERMINED SEX.
2.  FOR SALE.  EIGHT PUPPIES FROM A GERMAN SHEPHERD AND AN ALASKAN HUSSY.

ITS ANOTHER LOVELY FALL DAY.
I WENT TO CRAFTS.  STILL WORKING ON MY HAND-QUILTED VICTORIAN LADY.  ITS THE ONLY TIME I WORK ON HER SINCE OTHER THINGS ARE MADE ON MY MACHINE.
I GUESS OUR PEGGY STARTED SOMETHING WHEN SHE SUGGESTED I PUT THE 8 LB PORK ROAST GIVEN TO ME, IN THE COMMON ROOM FOR EVERYONE AND BROUGHT  TWO SALADS. SONEONE ELSE BROUGHT SWEETS THEN.  IT WAS OUR FIRST POTLUCK ACTUALLY WITH FOLKS BRINGING HOME SECONDS FOR ANOTHER MEAL AND NOW WE ARE INTO OUR SECOND POTLUCK NEXT FRIDAY.  THE PLANS ARE GOING WELL.
TODAY WE EVEN MADE PLANS FOR A XMAS POTLUCK.  I TOLD SHARON IF SHE COULD GET A TURKEY FROM THE FOOD PANTRY MGR THEN I WOULD ROAST IT AND STUFF IT WITH A BREAD STUFFING.  WE WILL PUT UP A SIGN-UP SHEET AFTER OUR HALLOWEEN POTLUCK IS DONE.  PLANS ARE IN THE WORKS TO HAVE A YANKEE GIFT SWAP AT XMAS AS WELL.  WITH 4 OF US DECIDING ON THINGS IT MAKES IT SO MUCH EASIER.  WE SHARE THE FOODS WE BRING AND BUY THE LITTLE EXTRAS NEEDED TO MAKE IT WORK, LIKE NAPKINS, SODA, PAPER CUPS AND PLATES, ETC.  PEGGY CREATED A MONSTER. BUT A FRIENDLY ONE NOT UNLIKE CASPER, THE FRIENDLY GHOST.

AFTER BINGO LAST NITE I WAS SOOOO SLEEPY.  I DOZED OFF PRETTY QUICKLY.  THEN DOZED OFF ANOTHER HALF DOZEN TIMES THRU THE EARLY EVENING.  I THINK THOSE SHOTS DID IT.  I FEEL REALLY REFRESHED THO THIS MORNING BUT WITH SORE ARMS.  NOTHING WORSE SO I'M FINE.

I MADE N.Y. SIRLOIN WITH BROWN BUTTER GRAVY FOR LUNCH SO I COULD DIP MY BREAD IN THE BUTTER.  MMMMM, IT WAS GOOD.  I HAVE ENUF FOR SUPPER, TOO.
MY SON DOESN'T SHOP TIL SUNDAY THIS WEEK BUT SINCE I ALREADY PROMISED PEGGY (WHOSE HOME FROM SURGERY AND DOING WELL), I WOULD BRING HER CKN RICE SOUP TOMORROW, I WILL MAKE IT FRIDAY REGARDLESS.  HE WON'T KNOW THE DIFFERENCE WHETHER COOKED FRI. OR SAT.
KEEP UP YOUR PRAYERS FOR OUR PEGGY PLEASE.
OFF TO DO MY LAPS LADIES.  STAY SAFE.  BE GOOD.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Good day all.

Oh, Janet, I do not miss those days of opening and or closing the pool!  I was lucky in that Dean always had the boys to help.  They were the ones who got in the water!  We also had a roller for the solar cover and had to wrangle that stupid heavy top onto the pool for winter.  Our cover was not solid, so we had to put barrels filled with water into the pool to keep it from freezing.  Now this was almost  years ago, so pool equipment has changed a lot.  So, when we decided to move from that house in 1998, Deans said no more pools!  The boys sure did enjoy it for years though.

We are ordering Chinese take out food for supper tonight.  The grandkids asked for it and I did not want to cook.  So, Chinese it is!   We always have enough left over for lunch the next day because the portions are big.

Amelia and I made some peanut butter cookies the other day.  I did not use my mother's recipe and I was sorry for it.  I used one from pinterest that said it was "The Best Chewy Peanut Butter cookie".  It was not.  They were Ok and we will eat them but not as good as my old stand-by one.  This one used a lot of brown sugar and the taste was different.

We had Bosco outside most of today and now he is in the living room snoring!    He is used to being in the house all day when the kids are in school and Katie and Aaron are at work.  He has a huge bowed window that he looks out and he actually lays on the ledge.

Another beautiful fall day.

Nothing else to say, so will close.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCTOBER 12 ~ SATURDAY OCTOBER 18

Cheryl, yummy! Love pb cookies and pb fudge with a glass of milk. I'm not cooking either. Having beef tacos and the meat is already cooked.

I texted the "other guy" that said he was coming back to haul off these bushes and told him I no longer needed him...which wasn't true, lol. I was tired of his excuses each day. Monday he had to get "something done" (which was his day to come), Tuesday he had a stomach bug, Wednesday I never heard from him, that was it for me. It may take me a while, but I'll do it myself. Curbside pickup won't take them as long as they are, so I'm using my new pruners to cut them down. Ligustrum bushes have really soft wood, so they are easy to cut. Ordered plastic lawn bags which will be here tomorrow. I have paper ones now. There's probably going to be 10-12 large lawn bags. I filled 4 paper bags today.

I moved my 1,000 pc. puzzle today to my sewing room. I had to clean off the table to make room for it. I have two more coming tomorrow that are 500 pcs. each. One is a hummingbird and I think the other one is a cottage scene.

I was going to have Great Value Monterey Jack cheese cubes for a snack. The expiration date said Dec. 3, 2025, but they are already molded. This happens a lot with Great Value cheese. I won't buy it anymore. I haven't had this problem with Sargento, Kraft or Cracker Barrel.

Good Morning to everyone!! It rained overnight, but some blue sky is showing up high, so maybe we'll have a nice day later on!!  I'm not feeling too bright this morning, so will sign off and go sit in my chair.  It actually looks like winter is coming on.  My left leg is not feeling good this morning, so will likely sit most of the day.  Best wishes to everyone, BJ.

MALAPROPS.........
1.  STILL ANOTHER FAUCET OF LAMB'S PERSONALITY IS REVEALED IN HIS 'DREAM CHILDREN.'
2.  THESE IMPORTED TREES ARE SO PROFLIGATE THEY ARE CROWDING OUT THE MORE FRAGILE NATIVE SPECIES.

ANOTHER FINE FALL DAY HERE. IN THE 50S AND LOW 60S THIS WEEK NOW.   WE ARE EXPECTING SOME RAIN THIS WEEKEND.  IT WILL BE APPRECIATED.

THE BOARD HAS BEEN QUIET.  AS FOR ME, I DID MY LAPS, WORKED THE JIGSAW PUZZLE AND SLEPT PRETTY WELL LAST NITE WITH NEARLY 7 HRS OF SLEEP IN 3 TRIES.  I THINK THE FLU SHOTS DID A NUMBER ON MY ENERGY.  I JUST WANTED TO SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP SINCE I GOT THEM.  NOW I FEEL BETTER TODAY.
I BAKED THE CHICKEN THIGHS FOR THE CHICKEN RICE SOUP ON MY MENU TODAY.  I NEED TO GET SOME TO MY NEIGHBOR WHO HAD THE BIG C REMOVAL IN HER BREAST YESTERDAY.  SAW HER AND SHE LOOKS PRETTY GOOD.  IT WILL BE TOUGH TO KEEP PEGGY DOWN.  PLEASE CONTINUE TO KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS.

THAT'S IT LADIES.  NOTHING EXCITING HAPPENING HERE.  I AM STILL WATCHING THE FALL RODEOS AND ENJOYING SOME OF THE EVENTS THO I NEVER WATCH THE BULL RIDING NOR BRONCO BUSTING EVENTS.  LUCKILY I CAN FAST FORWARD RIGHT PAST THOSE.
OH YES, I CUT SOME BACKING AND BATTING FOR 3 WHS SO THEY ARE READY.  SINCE I NEED TO CUT THOSE ON MY DINING TABLE OR GO TO THE COMMON ROOM, I THOUGHT TO GET THOSE DONE ON THE TABLE HERE IN ONE FELL SWOOP.  CASPER IS PINNED AND READY FOR QUILTING.  I DECIDED NO BORDERS FOR HIM ONLY A BLACK BINDING.  I DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE EYE AWAY FROM THE NIGHT SCENE.

HUGS FOR YOU ALL.  QG S
