Devonne- I forgot about that. A friend developed foot drop during her chemo…drs called it neuropathy. They didn’t expect it to improve. We’LL never know as she passed away during the chemo.

ALL IN A DAY'S WORK........
MY DAUGHTER'S PRESCHOOL ASSIGNMENT WAS TO DRAW A PICTURE OF A TYPICAL DAY AT HER DAD'S WORKPLACE. IN RESPONSE, SHE DREW A SERIES OF CIRCLES, WHICH CONFUSED BOTH HER TEACHER AND ME SINCE HER DAD IS A DOCTOR.
WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE MEANING OF HER DRAWINGS, SHE LOOKED SURPRISED. "THEY'RE ROUNDS," SHE SAID.
"DADDY MAKES ROUNDS."
ANOTHER LOVELY DAY HERE.
JANET......AND ANYONE WITH PNEUROPATHY IN YOUR FEET.......
WHEN LYING DOWN OR IN YOUR RECLINER, CROSS YOUR FEET AT THE ANKLES. IT EASES THE PAIN. I LEARNED THIS BY ACCIDENT, BUT IT WORKED FOR ME OVER AND OVER.
NOW I TAKE 500 MG OF VEGETARIAN MORINGA EACH MORNING AND THAT SEEMS TO HAVE GOTTEN RID OF THE PAIN COMPLETELY AND NO MORE RESTLESS LEGS SYNDROME EITHER. THOSE THINGS KEPT ME UP COUNTLESS NIGHTS AND MADE ME A NIGHT OWL.
MAYBE IT DOESN'T WORK FOR EVERYONE, BUT IT SURE WOULD BE WORTH A TRY.
TODAY IS SHOPPING DAY FOR MY SON SO HE WILL SHARE LUNCH WITH ME. I MADE THE HAMBURGER SOUP LAST NITE. HE CAN TAKE SOME HOME AS WELL SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO COOK TONITE. HE FLIES TO MEXICO TOMORROW ON HIS VACATION.
MY NEIGHBOR WITH THE NEW BAD NEWS OF BIG C IN HER LEFT BREAST WAS TOLD THAT IT IS VERY SMALL AND AFTER REMOVAL, JUST RADIATION SHOULD SEE HER SAFE. SHE'S ELATED AS ARE THE REST OF OUR GROUP. SHE IS UNDECIDED HOW MUCH SHE WANTS TO REMOVE AT THIS POINT.
I HUNG MY BEST BRAS ON SMALL HANGERS IN THE CLOSET. THEY ARE EASIER TO FIND AND KEEP UNWRINKLED AS WELL. I LIKE THE IDEA.
THAT'S IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS FOR YOU ALL, QB S

Thanks Sandra. I’ll look into that.

Just checked on it with my pharmacist. She says it’s contraindicated for patients taking Synthroid (thyroid med) and statins. So it’s a no go for me. 🤷♀️

It's a lovely fall morning here. Perfect weather this past week. How often can you say that?
ML and Bill took the train to Chicago yesterday for a follow-up appt. at NW Hospital Clinic which went well. Afterwards, they took a Chicago River Architectural Tour.
We had a good time at our small group gathering. Those two weeks come again in a jiffy. I took a pumpkin cake which was okay, but not wonderful for being a scratch cake. IMHO!
QB, cute rooster. Either way...since your neighbor sews,(ie, the quilt she made), she'd be able to finish it as she likes. But your choices of fabrics for borders go well, so maybe add those yourself or include the fabric, so she could...
Speaking of "fowls", I called my neighbor about getting eggs last night and she said she has two dozen, but her hens are not laying many right now. Wonder why? Far as I know, they slow down or quit in cold winter weather, but not in the fall.
Devonne, sometimes the simplest thing make all the difference. So, I'm assuming you're going to give your pellet grill another try, right? I never heard of a pellet grill...
Howard doesn't think the cortisone inj. in his trigger finger is going to work. At first, it gave some relief, but not so much, now. I know it can take a few days, but he had it on Monday.
Eating lunch now, after a long call with my neighbor. Then, going to get busy and get something done around here. Maybe fiddle with my jacket remodeling. It's slow going as I have to figure out what to do with what I have to do it with.
Have a good afternoon.

Online!
We need a new dryer, so checked the website and went to the appliance store. Got there to a sign that says closed Saturday and Sunday. So annoying. Luckily it’s not far away.
Came home and put new binding on the bottom side of Heather’s quilt, and had to do a small patch in one area, or lose another border. It ain’t pretty, but it’s functional and she was happy to hear it’s done.
It’s a beautiful day here also!
Judy, maybe her chickens are moulting? I think Heather said they do it twice a year.
Janet, good idea it was to check with your pharmacist. I clear everything with my primary NP or cardiologist.
No,plan for the rest of the day. We have enough enchiladas for today, so that will be dinner. I have some late night shows to catch up on, and a book I’m reading.
Devonne, I didn’t realize you were in an HOA. We have none that I know of in south jersey, thank goodness.

Sandra, I would give it to her as is since she is a quilter and can do what she wants with it.
Judy, yes, I'm going to keep it. A pellet grill uses wood pellets instead of propane gas. I bought some apple & oak pellets yesterday to try. You can get the pellets just about anywhere.
Trish, I love blue cheese too. Can anyone tell me about Havarti cheese, as I've never bought it but plan too. Is it a mild cheese?
Greg and Carter have gone mining for gems in Murphy, North Carolina. It's the only hobby Carter has he really enjoys. They left after school Thursday and will drive home Sunday.
Linda, I decided to let my hair grow more and get it cut in the Spring. It always grows faster in the back, which drives me crazy. I hope Darrell doesn't miss the magazines. Maybe let him bring it up? lol.
It was so nice sitting on a clean patio this past week. I had my coffee mornings out there 3 or 4 times.
Caleb's ballgames are every Sunday and there's normally 3 games. Tomorrow the games are in Auburn, Alabama. That's a 4 hour round trip and an all day event. I bought healthy snacks and planned to go until I found out it was in another state, lol. They will probably leave at 6 am and get home at 9 pm.
I bought a painting kit from Etsy. The woman "swore" anyone could do this. It's a bird, so I shall see! It's time for me to have some fun!

Devonne ..Havarti cheese, in my opinion, is mild…a bit tastier than Muenster…same texture. Hmm. I think I’ll put it on this weeks list.

Havarti? Can't exactly remember, but worth a try again, like Janet. Anyway, I like most cheeses.
We usually buy cheese sticks to have on hand for a quick snack. Colby-jack
Have a chuck roast in the crockpot w/tater and carrots. We haven't had a roast in a coon's age. They're so expensive and this is a pretty small one, but enough for the 2 of us. Smells divine.
ML reminded me that my school is gathering for their alumni dinner, tonight. I don't go and haven't for many years. All my girl classmates have passed except for one and she never goes either. There were only 8 of us girls and we were together all twelve years of school. It would be beyond sad for both of us. There were 4 boys in our class with one gone, now. One of our boys comes back home from Iowa and usually calls me while he's here. I haven't heard from him and if I don't, I'll call him next week to check on him.
I've been admiring a coal black squirrel frolicking in the back yard. Black ones have shown up here for the last two years. Never saw any before that. Too bad the little devils are so destructive.
Off to set the table for supper.
