ACCIDENTAL BLOOPERS......
1. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN I WAS ATTEMPTING TO BRING MY CAR OUT OF A SKID BY STEERING IT INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE.
2. I HAD BEEN DRIVING ABOUT 40 YEARS, WHEN I FELL ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL AND HAD AN ACCIDENT.
ITS GETTING GRAY OUT THERE. HOPE THOSE T-STORMS ARRIVE SOON. WE NEED THE RAIN.
PATTY......CONGRATULATIONS ON A PAIR OF NEW BABIES IN THE FAMILY. HOW WONDERFUL THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN TWINS BORN IN MY OR MY HUBBY'S FAMILY. IT SURE MUST BE A HANDFUL, BUT DOUBLE THE LOVE.
TRISH.....I HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT TIME AT YOUR RETREAT AND GETTING A LOT DONE BUT ENJOYING THE FRIENDSHIPS MOSTLY.
ITS NEARLY THE END OF THE MONTH. WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE OUR LABOR DAY HOLIDAY IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER. THAT HERALDS IN THE AUTUMN MONTHS AND COOLER WEATHER.
WILL HAVE A NORMAL DAY HERE TODAY. I MADE SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS LAST NITE AND SHARED WITH 2 OTHERS SO I DON'T HAVE LEFTOVERS TO EAT FOR TOO LONG. REMEMBER, I AM THE ONE WHO'S FREEZER IS ALREADY PACKED SO NO ROOM TO FREEZE LEFTOVER MEALS. ONE GETS TIRED OF EATING THE SAME THING. ITS BAD ENOUGH WHEN I OPEN A PACKAGE OF SANDWICH MEAT AND HAVE TO USE IT UP IN 5 DAYS OR TOSS IT OUT. THAT MEANS I AM EATING LIVERWURST SANDWICHES FOR LUNCH RIGHT NOW. ITS LUCKY I LOVE THEM. I SORT OF SWAP OUT FOR HAM THE OTHER SHOPPING DAY.
ENJOY YOUR DAY TODAY FRIENDS. STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S

Congrats on the twins! When will you see them?
PT this morning, my legs feel it! Must mean it’s working!
The month of August has been a bust for my weight. Up and down the same 2 pounds. Hoping to do better in September.
We got a lot of rain last night. Cooler today, mid 70’s. Feels good to have the windows open.
I’m so glad to be retired! If still working, staff would go back Tuesday.
Online!
I can't seem to get here every day, mostly because my laptop needs charging.
Cheryl, that is wonderful news, both insurance and healthwise for Aaron! That is a huge deductible. Has he checked into different insurance plans that might be better than what he has?
Greg still has a terrible cough, but he is feeling much better. He said Carter still has a cough. He has a 3 day weekend so that will be good for him. I guess it's most likely something Carter picked up at school.
Trish, have a wonderful time. Will be waiting to hear all about it!
Holly, can you remind me why you are going to PT? Are you sore after each visit? I had a bad month in August with weight...up and down, but mostly up. I need to remember if you bring it in the house, you're going to eat it, lol! I'm also glad to be retired. I love not being somewhere at 8 am every day. I'm not an early morning person anymore.
Patty, congratulations on the twins! No twins in my family either.
Judy, I hear what you're saying. That's why I like to use the Instant Pot. I don't have to watch it or worry about it burning, lol. I always get anxious about any doctor appointment, even the telephone call with my oncologist this coming week.
Janet, if you think 60 degrees is freezing, you are in for a very, very cold winter, lol. Are you feeling better?
My fatigue has been better the last two days. I've only taken two of the high dosage vitamin D pills he prescribed. I take one every Friday. I have a telephone call scheduled with Dr. Qu (chemo oncologist) for Wednesday at 2:45. He's the one who prescribed the Tamoxifen and took me off it for awhile. I'm dreading it if he wants to try a different med.
Yesterday I felt like going shopping so I went to Goodwill to walk around. I love going there because they have the best air conditioning in town, lol. I found a few bargains. I got a planter stand for the front porch and 5 blue cobalt stemware glasses. These are $70 on Amazon and I got them for $5. I'm using them to decorate my table that I never eat at, lol.
Today I started cleaning up the mess in my rose bed. The grass was so high in there (my lawn guy charges extra to trim hedges, bushes and weedeat beds). I took out two of the hybrid tea rose bushes and will take another one out tomorrow. They came up really easy, to my surprise. The roses are beautiful, but the plants themselves are unattractive. I hope to transplant my two hydrangeas here soon. I bought the mulch months ago to use. I just haven't felt like doing any of this.
I'm also going to trim my yellow ligustrum bushes that have gotten way too tall and a few more bushes. I need a new hedge trimmer. I'll be going to Lowes tomorrow to get one. That is a long story for another day!

HOLY BLOOPERS.....
1. ON A CHURCH BULLETIN BOARD DURING THE MINISTER'S ILLNESS: GOD IS GOOD!
DR. HARGREAVES IS BETTER
2. POTLUCK SUPPER: PRAYER AND MEDICATION TO FOLLOW.
3. DON'T LET WORRY KILL YOU OFF---LET THE CHURCH HELP.
I DON'T THINK WE GOT ANY RAIN. I HEARD SOME THUNDER AND THEN NOTHING. NICE DAY TODAY.
I HAVE A FEW THINGS SCHEDULED TODAY, LIKE LAUNDRY, TAKING OUT THE RECYCLES, AND SOMETHING ELSE I FORGOT FOR THE MOMENT, BUT IT WILL COME TO ME.
I ALREADY SORTED MY PILLS FOR THE WEEK AND REALIZED I WOULD RUN OUT OF MY WOMEN'S DAILY VITS BY FRIDAY SO PLACED AN ORDER WITH TARGET. ALSO A FEW OTHER THINGS I ADDED SO I COULD GET FREE SHIPPING. THEY SHOULD ARRIVE BEFORE I RUN OUT OF MY VITS.
I HOPE YOU ARE ALL DOING WELL AND WILL ENJOY THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. IT WILL BE A QUIET ONE FOR ME DOING MY USUAL FUN STUFF. I'M OFF TO DO MY LAPS.
HAVE A SAFE DAY. HUGS, QB S

Here I go again...I looked up as I was typing and my screen was blank? All I had typed was gone? QB, our holiday/anniversary will be a quiet one, too. We can seldom think of any place we want to go, so we stay home doing our own things. I'm not complaining, just ruminating.
Patty, congrats on the twins. How special.
Andrew came home on the train last evening and they all drove back to his present Chicago apt. with the boxes ML/Bill had gathered to begin packing for his move. They'll drive home this evening and he'll take the train back tomorrow late afternoon. Wears me out just thinking about it.
Devonne, Covid has raised it's ugly head in this area again...or yet. I heard that the schools have asked students to stay home if they think they have it. Guess it doesn't have a season like flu does and there are a bunch of cases. Not implying Greg and Carter have Covid, with that remark. When I was in school, eons ago!, no one got sick until later after cold weather/winter set in. You and maybe, Carol are our master gardeners, now, since QB retired from gardening.
So far, everything's still very green here, but we've had several days of fallish temperatures.
I'd better go and get my messy kitchen cleaned up before it's time to start supper. Have a good remainder of the day.

Devonne, I started PT because of right leg weakness. I couldn’t tell how much pressure I was putting on the brake pedal, so it was when my leg was raised. The initial PT evaluation showed my whole right leg was weaker than the left. Labs showed my B12 was low, D3 just barely normal. She had me get a B12 shot, then I got supplemental B12 and upped my daily D3. The 6 week PT evaluation showed my right leg stronger, but still can be improved. As the PT said, we’re working from the ankles up.
I have sausage and peppers in the crockpot. Mild sausage this time, the hot was too hot. I don’t care for it, so I make it for Ralph. He has a couple of servings, and will freeze the majority. I figured peppers are in season, so cheaper than they will be in the winter.
Judy, good thing ML and Bill are young to do all the driving back and forth! Bobby wants to limit who can get the Covid vaccine this fall, because of course he does.

Patti, congratulations on the new grandbabies! We do not have twins in our family either. Dean's brother had twins way back in the 60's but both died at birth. I am not sure of the exact year since his brother is 12 years older than Dean. Twins have always amazed Dean.
Judy, as the others said, yes, Labor Day is always the first Monday in September. How awful about your "fresh" veggies from a farmers market. I have to say I have had wonderful luck here with ours. Just got a yellow zucchini and another tomato today and they are both delicious. The tomatoes have reminded us of when we were kids and could eat them like we eat apples, straight from the garden.
Next March will be the 50th for Dean and I. He wants to have a celebration/party. I do not. I loathe them. Glad to hear you eye laser went well.
Katie has been having some anxiety/mental issues these days and is making it difficult to talk with her. She was not raised on any type of religion and Aaron is very religious. So, she had been going to church and classes with him but is so conflicted with some of the church beliefs. Her brother, with whom she is extremely close, is gay and lives with a man. She is having a hard time with the church as they will not give her the answers she wants regarding that issue. They even recommended she she a religious therapist and the church paid for it. So, I try to steer clear of that topic at all and recently steer clear of her cause all she wants to do is talk and debate it. Causing some issue with Aaron I am sad to say.
Dean and I had soup and sandwiches for supper. He had just got back in from a little run and wanted a light dinner. Now he is doing the dishes and I am playing on the computer

Cheryl, very wise of you to stay out of Katie’s issues. If they end up splitting over it, better now than after marriage. We all have our hard limits, and have to be true to ourselves.
One of Ralph’s Veteran friends gave him tomatoes from his garden, and I had one in a salad. It tasted like sunshine, so good. Our sandy jersey soil is great for tomatoes.
