HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANET, Hope it's been a lovely day and you enjoy your dinner out, I am heading out too, so we'll raise a glass to you ! (and to Patty)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY PATTY, hope you have a lovely day too.
SANDRA a couple dollars isn't so much to loose, sounds like you are doing OK, and no more wobbles
INDY you have had quite a few scams, so sorry, I don't get them so much had a couple over the last few years, I wonder why you are getting caught, I never let anyone have my card, and I am careful with buying online, is your bank changing your account details, our new card was completely different numbers to the old, the account details are the same, but we had to change our password, and I change them regularly. Such a pain, because I try to make them hard, then I have to remember them. I do have them in a list though
HOLLY DEVONNE CHERYL LOL we don't have to answer those questions - bad enough when I do my "ok to drive" test that I have to answer what season is it, and who is the Prime Minister LOL My heart Dr will weigh me, but I do understand that, and they measure height too, as it's all related to how fat I am LOL
I think I would be in the "none of your business" answer!!
I have been ironing, sorting, and chopping fabric, found some interesting fabric I had completely forgotten and it's perfect! I have a few projects now organised for camp, it's at the end of August, so plenty of time, I hope I haven't jinxed myself, I did a lot of prep last time and got covid and couldn't go!!
I't's been a cool day, I got my car detailed, I could get either Pete, John or Dean to do it, but I paid the local garage. They have a car wash there, and they do a great job in about an hour. Inside and out, and polished. Can't beat it. My car is going for service next week, and I want it to look like someone care about it LOL
Heading out to dinner shortly, it's Friday here, so dinner with Gary.

Whoa…that was worrisome….I had to login today for the first time in years!?! Luckily I use the same few passwords for everything so I didn’t have to guess too many times.
Thanks for the birthday wishes. Dinner was very good. One of the very few places we like around here.
Back later…have to make some phone calls

Went to sleep around 1:30, Gracie started barking at 5:00 am which sounded like she was in pain. It was over as fast as it started and she is fine. Wonder what that was about, lol?
I moved her dog crate to my bedroom and I now leave the door open. She can come and go as she pleases. Sometimes she comes out and lays on a quilt next to her crate. This morning she wasn't there. I looked on the other side of the bed and she was laying on a throw pillow.
Headed to the shower, then I'm going to UPS and to Walmart. I need a few things that aren't enough for a delivery.

ACCIDENTAL BLOOPERS.....
1. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT DOOR OF A CAR CAME AROUND THE CORNER WITHOUT GIVING A SIGNAL.
2. THE OTHER CAR COLLIDED WITH MINE WITHOUT GIVING WARNING OF ITS INTENTIONS.
ANOTHER LOVELY DAY. I KNOW THERE IS SOME RAIN IN OUR FUTURE. I HOPE IT COMES SOON BUT NOT A DELUGE.
SEW HAPPY/PATTI.....ITS YOUR SPECIAL DAY TODAY. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. I HOPE YOU AND YOUR OTHER HALF GET TO ENJOY YOUR DAY TOGETHER.
JUDY......I HOPE ANDREW FINDS AN APT HE CAN REALLY ENJOY WITH PARKING FOR HIS CAR, TOO. CROSSING MY FINGERS.
JANET.....GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOUR DAY AND YOUR DINNER OUT. ALWAYS A GOOD THING.
MAINT. GUY WAS HERE AND FIXED MY SHOWER CURTAIN ROD. I THOUGHT IT A GOOD TIME TO PUT UP A NEW ONE. I HAD TO CLEAR OUT HALF OF MY BATHROOM CLOSET TO FIND ONE AND A LINER BUT ITS ALL GOOD. I FOUND 3 CURTAINS AND 2 LINERS. NOW I CAN REORGANIZE THAT CLOSET. I FOUND STUFF I FORGOT I HAD. I WILL GIVE MY SON THE NEW BATH MAT STILL WRAPPED. AND MY DAUGHTER SOME TOWELS FOR HER DOGS. AND I FOUND SOME XMAS HANGING-OVER-DOOR TOWELS IN BOTH REDS AND GREENS SO I WILL SAVE THOSE FOR THIS XMAS. ALSO SOME PILLOWCASES I HAD MADE WITH SOME FAVORITE GREEN PRINT FABRIC AND NEVER USED. I PUT THEM ON 2 PILLOWS NOW SO I CAN ENJOY THEM. ITS AMAZING WHAT I'VE FOUND IN THERE. IT PAYS TO REORGANIZE THOSE CLOSETS ON OCCASION.
I'VE BEEN READING AND READING AND ENJOYING. WENT TO CRAFT MORNING YESTERDAY AND THEN WORKED ON MY PUZZLE FOR A BIT THEN SETTLED INTO THAT COMFY UPHOLSTERED CHAIR IN THE COMMON ROOM AND READ. FINISHED ONE OF MY BOOKS. AM STARTING ANOTHER.
YESTERDAY I MADE SOME SMASHED POTATOES AND HAD THEM WITH JUST A FEW SLICES OF HAM. WILL EAT THE REST OF THEM FOR A LATE LUNCH.
TODAY ITS CHICKEN RICE SOUP ON THE MENU SINCE SON IS COMING TOMORROW TO SHOP FOR ME AND CASH A CHECK FOR ME AT THE BANK. I ALWAYS LIKE TO HAVE CASH HANDY.
THAT'S IT I THINK. HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

Sandra, I agree with you on the cleaning; we find things we forgot we had! I cleaned my bathroom linen closet the other day. Found some full size bed sheets and we do not even have a full size bed anymore. We did use them for the camper, so that is most likely why they were threre. I sent them home with Aaron since Gabriel has a full size bed. I sorted out lots of towels and a few blankets to take to the local Humane Society. They used the towels and blankets for the animals. It is a 30 minute ride to get there so I only go when I have a full load. I may go buy some bleach to take since that is always on their "wish list".
Today is a lovely day outside. I sat and read for a while and now have to vacuum the living room carpet.
Holly, I have that book on hold at the library. (She Never Saw it Coming".) Looking forward to getting it.
Devonne, do you think your fatigue is from your medicine? When my friend was taking it, she was really tired all the time. Her feet were always numb. She has been breast cancer free for 8 years now, I think. I do not know if she is still on meds or is she got off. My other friend has been taking medication for 25 years post breast cancer.
Judy, good luck to Andrew on finding an apt that has parking. I think parking costs almost as much as apts in Chicago!

Happy Anniversary Patti and Mr. Patti!
I had an appointment with the vascular NP this morning, in and out. This afternoon we went to Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch/early dinner, brought half of it home.
Good luck to Andrew on finding what he wants! Does he live alone, or have a roommate?
It’s looking like rain here also. We’ll see.

Thanks ladies! We spent the day in Duluth, went to the park on Lake Superior where we were married 27 years ago. The wind was from the SW so it was warm, not usually so. We drove through storms on the way there and saw awesome lightning strikes. By the time we came home it was hot and humid but at least there was no smoke today!
Hope everyone else had a terrific day today too.

Janet, I use the iPad to read and post, and I frequently have to log in.
I just finished The Woman in Cabin 10, which was written in 2016. There was a lot of “the girl/woman who” around that time, and I didn’t read any of them. I was surprised how much I liked it. It was more intense than scary, and I recommend it.

MANGLED MODIFIERS......
1. CALF BORN TO FARMER WITH TWO HEADS.
2. SOME SOURCES SAID THAT SHORTLY AFTR HIS DEATH MAO TSE TUNG HAD EXPRESSED A WISH THAT HIS BODY BE CREMATED.
ITS ANOTHER GORGEOUS DAY HERE IN THE NORTH COUNTRY. HOPING FOR SOME RAIN SOON FOR OUR DRYING WOODLANDS.
CHERYL.......I ALWAYS SEEM TO FIND LOST TREASURE WHEN I CLEAN OUT A CLOSET. LOVE IT.
TODAY MY SON SHOPS FOR ME. I MADE THE CHICKEN RICE SOUP LAST NITE AND SHARED WITH 2 OTHERS. ONE WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD CHICKEN SOUP RECIPE AND NEVER HAD MINE BEFORE SO SHE GOT A CONTAINER. I HOPE SHE LIKES IT. THE ONLY OTHER CHICKEN SOUP I MAKE IS WITH EGG NOODLES. HAVEN'T MADE THAT IN A WHILE.
MY SON SHOPS FOR ME TODAY AND WILL CASH A CHECK FOR ME AT THE BANK. THEN WE'LL HAVE SOUP FOR LUNCH AND HE WILL TAKE HOME A LARGE CONTAINER. I HAVE PLENTY LEFT. I HAVE A HALF WATERMELON ON MY LIST SINCE THEY ARE ON SALE. I HOPE THEY HAVE SOME LEFT SINCE ITS THE LAST DAY OF THIS WEEK'S SALE. IF NOT, HE CAN PAY FULL PRICE. I WANT WATERMELON.
I HAVE A FEW THINGS TO GET DONE THIS MORNING BEFORE MY SON ARRIVES BUT AFTER THAT I THINK MAYBE I'LL WORK ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE. ITS BEEN A COUPLE DAYS.
NOTHING ELSE EXCITING LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S

Andrew got the apt. he wanted. No parking, sadly. You're right, Cheryl. With parking the cost would be prohibitive for a beginning CPA. He'll be parking on the street but he told his mother there seem to be plenty of spots available. It is a nice large 900 sq ft. apt. vintage, with hard wood floor and a large built in hutch that will hold much. Also a small separate dining room which he may turn into his dedicated office. He lives alone, Holly.
We had an interesting Bible Study yesterday in that, Howard told them after three years, he is stepping down from leading it. I only knew about his decision since our last get together July 26th. We are hoping someone will step up and take it on. The most likely "candidate" wasn't there yesterday. But, Howard wanted to talk to him, privately, anyway.
Trish, we don't know why we have a target on us! Or so it seems. It surely does curtail any desire to buy something on line. But, and why I don't know? Howard didn't have any security software on our computers and phones. He does NOW--an upgraded Norton Security. He used to be very conscientous about everything like that???? He is different, now...
QB, I believe it's good for you to get out of your apartment and read in that nice spot plus the other things you do there. A change of scene can be healthy for a person. I know when we get out and go anywhere, we feel differently. That's why even though I always say and feel happy enough here at home, a change of scene/location peps me up and gives me a different outlook.
There's my "semon" for the day! And now I need to go look up something to have for supper. Have a great day.

Chicken tenders and mashed potatoes is the plan for dinner. Boring but DH doesn’t care.
The sun finally came out today….but it’s not supposed to to last but a few hours. I haven’t been out in over a week. 🤷♀️.
Out of the clear blue (probably a few years) I got a bday card and an email from my sisters? Odd.
GSon and son are in Delaware playing baseball. About 5 hrs from here but didn’t even bother to tell us.
Off to clean the microwave because someone forgot to cover his bowl of pasta and now there’s sauce splattered everywhere inside. 😡
I was hoping to get up to my studio to sort threads. Doubt that will happen today.

Janet, that must make you sad and mad.
I’ve been sitting crocheting and catching up on Colbert, and according to my watch, I’ve walked 7000 steps! Without leaving the couch!
I made us dippy eggs and toast for breakfast, always good. Leftovers from Texas Roadhouse will be dinner.
Judy, does Andrew have a nice view from the apartment?
It’s’s So nice having the windows open! It went down to 57 last night!

Ok, Holly, how did you get 7000 steps without leaving the couch? I want your watch!
I got out and walked in a small park today. It is a hilly walk but most of it is in the shade, so it was nice. I used to walk our lab, Brutus, years ago there. It was his favorite park. Dean and Aaron went to Columbus for a car show (The Mopar Nationals). He was going to take his vintage car, but when he started it up today, he said it was "missing" something awful in the engine. He built the entire engine, so he was very upset. He took it out for a long ride yesterday and it ran just fine. Oh, poor fellow. They went anyway to see the cars and races. So I had the day to myself.

Cheryl, I guess the movement of my hand and arm made the dumb thing think I was walking? I know once I was winding yarn into a ball and the silly thing asked if I was on some kind of stepper. Yet if I’m holding a shopping cart it doesn’t register my steps.
