Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 4 ~ SAT MAY 10

Can't believe it's Saturday and May 10th already.  I often wonder about our perception of time and how we've experienced it at different ages.   For me, it actually goes slower on the weeks where we leave the house and do something different.   I think that could be opposite for others.

Trish, I'm happy to report that ML is doing better.  Truly, she did need the expertise of a psychiatrist who assured her she is not mentally ill but has just been overwhelmed by her physical issues and further pushed over the top by the insomnia.  Which is much better with the Rx the psych. ordered.    She goes to the specialized clinic at Northwestern in Chicago on Monday. It's been a three month wait.  And, with her better...I'm better.  Thanks for inquiring.
As for the bird saga,  I would guess this time it was a raccoon by the way the nest was totally destroyed.
I'm sorry that your niece is having difficulties again. Glad she has a new cardio with new "eyes" that might see something more or different.  Your coasters and fabric boxes are super cute.  I like that the hexie centers are the same and yet all a bit different with the edgings.
Unless they cancel again, Howard will go to lunch with the ROMEOs next Wednesday.    I was surprised that he called Dave for this week.
Dave has more responsibilities and "always" calls...usually!

Holly, that's an  accurate description of our Indiana weather!  The furnace dutifully starts up every morning no matter that it's May.  But as one friend told me years ago when I was lamenting the continuing chilliness,  "When it gets hot, it stays hot for a long time!"  True!

The new Pope IS  from Chicago.  The news programs have blown up over that and atm  more important to Chicagoans than that he's from the USA.  I suppose it'll take a back seat as he develops into
primarily "the Pope".

Devonne, I would feel left out, too, but QB has a point about them not wanting to worry you.  Plus, Gary is a man!  (Howard usually does the complete opposite of what I'd would do, not necessarily wrong, just otherwise.)   And you have said Hannah can be silent.  Did you plant  here and there in your yard or in a dedicated garden spot?  I'm just wondering because of the preparation necessary to plant anything.

This is an example of how much better ML is:  WE are invited over their for a cookout for lunch tomorrow.  Andrew is taking the train from Chicago this afternoon for Mother's Day and she so wants to do something normal.  They grabbed it all quickly at the grocery and he'll grill the burgers.  I will cut up an English cuke, and a red pepper and make some homemade Ranch dressing.
Off to shower and carry on.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 4 ~ SAT MAY 10

I have chili cooking in the instant pot for tomorrow. It's always better fixed a day in advance. Gary and Greg both said they would be here. I really can't think of any place where I want to go and eat out.

Judy, I did not prep the area like I had planned. My plans didn't come to fruition because of back pain. I only have 5 or 6 plants up against the house where there are no roses. My tomato plants and one strawberry plant are in planters.

I have the Roomba going and my fur babies are in bed.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 4 ~ SAT MAY 10

DEVONNE I missed your last message about Hannah, they may have not wanted to worry you, and perhaps also thought it wasn't a big deal - know how you feel though, my family want full disclosure from us, and we expect the same, no surprises then LOL

I had a lovely lunch, the food was hot and good, the coffee too and service was fast, we did have to wait a while for our table, being Mothers  Day they had asked for bookings, and the people for brunch had stayed longer, only about a 10 minute wait though till they left and the table was cleared.
I had pancakes and both Megan and I wanted Chai Latte, they had runout of that LOL so I had a mocha instead.

The boys were hungry of course, but our bill for 7 was quite inexpensive.

Been still sewing, and I cleared off the dining table, I do like a sewing cabinet they have at the LQS, but it's almost $2000 plus I really don't have room for it. It opens out at the sides as well as a small cabinet swings to the front and side for an overlocker, lots of storage too, maybe one day.

INDY I am so glad ML is doing better, getting enough sleep is so important, and when things go haywire it takes a little 'fixing' she's such a great daughter to you. And you would have missed seeing her.

SANDRA I love your storage, I just need to have a bigger house to put everything, I would love one of those jigsaw trays, I don't want to take up room on the dining table though, with the rest of my stuff I just need to reduce things.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all of you, whether be you mothers or mother figures to others.
Enjoy your day however you choose to spend it.

I am going to try to find some blocks I put aside, I know I stored them in a bag here somewhere, it's just looking right at me, I know it LOL I probably have moved it 10 times while I looked for it.

(((hugs))) and prayers
