JUST A QUICK CHECK IN. HAVE NOT READ A FEW POSTS, BUT WILL CATCH UP ON TAPLET. JUST MUCH TO DIFFICULT TO READ ON HERE.

ROASTED SOME MORE TOMATORES YESTERDAY. UOULD HAVE HAD MORE IF HAD NOT SHARED SOME WITH NEIGHBORS (WHEN THEY WERE HERE) AND A SOME TO MY DEAR SIS. ALOS DARRELL HAS EATEN A FEW. I HAD ONE BLT. UM! WILL DECIDE ON PLANTING SOME PLANTS NEARER TO SPRING. IT WAS LOT TO DO WITH TAKING CARE OF THE NEW FOUNDATION PLANTINGS. AT TIMES, FEEL LIKE THE TOMATOES WERE WORTH THE EFFORT AND AT TIMES NOT..........

LATE AND NEED TO GET TO BED. HOPE TO CATCH UP TOMORROW.

DEVONNE....THANKS FOR ANSWERING ON PLUTO. I GET THOSE SHOWS ON MY SPECTRUM CABLE SO NOTHING NEW THERE. I TRIED A MOVIE ON YOUTUBE ONE TIME AND GOT SOME MONTHLY CHARGE IT TOOK ME MONTHS TO GET RID OF SO I STAY AWAY FROM THOSE COMPLETELY. I MUST HAVE HIT SOME KEY THAT PUT ME ON A MONTHLY CHARGE. IT GOT CLEARED UP EVENTUALLY EXCEPT I WAS CHARGED FOR 2 MONTHS THAT NEVER CAME OFF MY CREDIT CARD. IT WAS SUCH A HASSLE TRYING THAT I JUST ATE THE 2 MONTHS CHARGE IN THE END.
SORRY TO HEAR THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH GRANDMOTHER. SHE'S LIVED A FULL LIFE IT SEEMS SO MAYBE ITS HER TIME. ALWAYS SAD NO MATTER WHAT THEIR AGE OR CONDITION. MAYBE SHE WILL RALLY.

I MADE THE CHICKEN WITH PENNE PASTA CASSEROLE LAST NITE AND IT WAS ANOTHER GOOD ONE. I AM GETTING STUCK ON CASSEROLES AND MY NEIGHBORS ARE ENJOYING THEM ALSO. I THINK, THO, NEXT TIME I WILL INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF PENNE FROM 2 CUPS TO 3. IT NEEDED MORE PASTA. I HAD PLENTY OF CHICKEN BREAST IN IT.

ITS CLOUDY AGAIN TODAY BUT NO RAIN EXPECTED TIL FRIDAY OR SATURDAY. IT CLEARED UP FOR SUNSHINE YESTERDAY AND PARTS OF TODAY THE SUN SHINES THRU. TEMPS FOR US ARE IN THE 50S DAYS AND 40S NITES BUT COLDER IN MORE SOUTHERN STATES. I HEAR THAT THEY EVEN GOT FROST DOWN SOUTH WHICH WE HAVEN'T HAD YET. TOO BAD I GAVE UP MY GARDEN SO SOON. I COULD BE ENJOYING A FEW MORE TOMATOES, PARSLEY, AND THYME IF I LEFT IT ALONE ANOTHER MONTH.

LIKE DEVONNE, I TOO, HAVE A WISH LIST. MINE TOUCHES ON FAMILY AND MYSELF. I AM BEING SELFISH, BUT THERE ARE SOME THINGS I WANT AND SOON. LIKE A DVD PLAYER. MY SON HAD ONE HE WAS GOING TO GIVE ME AND THEN IT DISAPPEARED. I THINK HIS WIFE MAY HAVE GIVEN IT AWAY BEFORE HE TOLD HER. I NEVER HEARD THE REASONS WHY. ANYWAY, I HAD ONE ON MY LIST MONTHS AGO BUT DIDN'T BUY IT BECAUSE MY SON SAID HE HAD A NEW ONE TO GIVE ME. I WILL DEPEND ON MYSELF NEXT TIME. I HAD THE MONEY SAVED FOR IT, BUT AM PROBABLY GOING TO USE IT ON A NEW PHONE THIS WEEK OR NEXT. UNTIL I KNOW WHAT IT WILL COST ME, I CAN'T BUY ANYTHING ELSE FOR NOW.
FOR FAMILY ITS JUST FEWER MEDICAL ISSUES AND MORE MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS. MY SON SEEMS TO BE OK IN THAT REGARD BUT MY DAU AND HER FAMILY ARE ALWAYS STRUGGLING. THAT'S WHY WHEN SHE TAKES ME TO ANY DOCTOR VISITS, I GIVE HER A NICE BIT OF CASH. SHE NEVER WANTS TO TAKE IT SO I STICK IT IN AN ENVELOPE EITHER IN THE CAR OR A BAG SHE CARRIES WITH HER AND TEXT HER LATER WHEN SHE GETS HOME SO SHE WON'T STICK IT BACK ON MY TABLE OR COUNTER.

Good Morning to everyone!! Hope everyone is feeling well. I don't seem to have much energy this morning and my left knee is really bothering me. Oh well, just suffer through!!

It's a little bit dark out this morning, but no breeze. Well, Amazon truck just came and left a package for Frank. He'll be happy, it is a pad for his chair, should be comfy!!

I was industrious this morning! Moved things around in the pantry closet, browned and froze 2 pounds of breakfast sausage, started a gallon of sun tea. Even did a bit of Xmas shopping, ordered the new Hess truck for Garrett. He’s gotten one every year since he was born, Manda said they are his favorite toys and they have to be just so in his cabinet. I bought them for Eddie til he told me he was too old for them.

we were planning on Chinese yesterday, but the place was closed on Mondays. Seems like a lot of places close Mondays now.

Just got home at 6:15. I didn't have to leave until 12:00 to pick up Carter at school. His jacket fit him perfectly. I came up with a new way of sewing with the cuffs and it worked out great. We went to Chilis for dinner.

Holly (Greg's ex-wife) grandmother cracked her skull when she fell and has a brain bleed. She's in ICU. She has lived a long life...Greg said she is 94.

Sandra, Matt is like Greg...he does good financially, but G&E are struggling because he's not able to work & she just went back to work full time. They will be ok once her checks still coming in.

My grandmother duties are over for now! I can stay home the rest of the week. I just started a small load of laundry so I can be a free bird tomorrow. I plan on being in my sewing room a lot the next 3 days.

DEVONNE so sorry about H's grandmother, prayers for a peaceful passing for her (((hugs))))
Being a grandma mostly means pick up duties and cooking duties as they get older LOL

SANDRA you have found some good recipes, I'll check my LQS next time I'm there, I know I don't have much, I THINK I have some shiny type in a light green, I'll look tomorrow.

BJ I hope you find out what is wrong with your leg (((hugs)))

HOLLY lots of places here are closed for food on Mondays too, I guess they are open 6 days and often till late, they need a break sometimes, hard when it's your birthday on a Monday though LOL

I do like your wish lists, I am not feeling great so will think on my "good" and wishes. The Mr generously passed on his bug, he waited a long time for the Dr yesterday as he didn't have an appointment, I went today with an appointment - got the last one available luckily, she has given me antibiotics, and told me to keep going with the treatment I am using, nose wash, and Nasonex and salt gargle.
I could cheerfully strangle him, I've been nagging him to cover up when he coughs, he doesn't do that quite a lot. He just thinks he does.
He's quite unwell, but will be getting no sympathy from me, has taken antibiotics since yesterday lunchtime, so only 3 doses, and went to play bowls, and will again tomorrow. He has asthma, and is coughing up a storm, Megan is furious with him, she is going to yell at him later tonight. I just give up, you can't make him do things. and he has not thought of the people he bowls with, if they get really sick it's on him.

I am heading to bed early, have a headache, and I have taken some paracetamol. See you tomorrow!

I woke up to a cool 39 degrees! It's going to be in the 70's though this weekend and some next week. That's when I'll trim the crepe myrtle trees and the hybrid roses. Does anyone know if it's a MUST to trim knockout roses? They are big and against the fence. I rather not trim them.

Trish, you were smart to get to the doctor quick for antibiotics. Hope yours isn't as bad as W's.

Sandra, have you ever made the Veg-All casserole? I used to take it to church and it was gone in no time. You can add chicken, but mine was all veggies. It does have a lot of mayo, but it's really good. I used Ritz crackers for the topping, it's better than regular crackers.

I bought a new Roku tv remote that has voice capability. I can tell it to turn the tv on or off, go to You Tube, find a certain movie, etc. Have we gotten lazy with technology, lol!

Holly, those Hess trucks are more valuable if they are metal. Now they are making them in plastic. Can you still buy metal ones?

Devonne, some of the ones I bought Eddie were metal. They don’t hold their value, I got some older ones on eBay really cheap. I buy them for the kids to enjoy, not as collectors items.

Today is lunch with the nurses. Started out with several of us about 20 years ago. Then we added husbands. Now it’s down to 4 of us.

DEVONNE......NO, NEVER MADE THAT VEG-ALL CASSEROLE. I AM A MEAT AND POTATOES PERSON SO LIKE TO HAVE MEAT IN SOME FORM IN MY CASSEROLES, OR AT LEAST EGGS. I AM VERY FUSSY ON EATING VEGGIES. MY SALADS ARE OFTEN JUST LETTUCE, TOMS AND CUKES WITH MAYBE SOME RADISHES WHEN I CAN GET THEM FRESH AND SWEET. I WILL EAT ZUCCHINI SAUTEED OR IN A CASSEROLE SOMETIMES BUT RARELY BUY IT. I ATE MORE VEGGIES WHEN I GREW THEM. TO BUY THEM IS USUALLY A WASTE FOR JUST ME. I ALSO LIKE CARROTS WITH MY POTATOES AND SOMETIMES PEAS. I AM A FOOL FOR ONIONS. LOVE THEM IN SOUPS AND WITH SAUTEED MEATS AND ON BURGERS. WITH VEGGIE SOUPS I USE CANNED OR FROZEN VEGS TO FILL UP THE RECIPE AND CHILI OF COURSE, GETS A SWEET PEPPER WHEN I BUY THEM. A GRAY DAY TODAY BUT TEMPS IN THE 60S AGAIN. I STEPPED ON THE SCALE BEFORE HITTING THE SHOWER THIS MORNING AND AM STAYING WITHIN 2 LBS OF MY IDEAL PRESENT WEIGHT. SURPRISED ME SINCE LAST NITE I REALLY COULDN'T HELP MYSELF. I SAT WITH THE BAG OF CHIPS ON MY LAP AND INDULGED MUCH MORE THAN USUAL THESE DAYS ALONG WITH 2 PEANUT BUTTER CUPS AND HAD 2 GLASSES OF SODA. BAD ME. I AM BEING BETTER TODAY. DR APPT IS TOMORROW AND I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN ANYTHING.

FOR WHAT AM I GRATEFUL.......
1. THAT I CAN GO TO BINGO WITHOUT HAVING SOMEONE CHECK MY NUMBERS FOR ME.
2. THAT I AM STAYING MOSTLY WITHIN MY EATING PLAN AND KEEPING CLOSE TO MY CURRENT WEIGHT.
3. THAT MY KNEE, SUCH AS IT IS, HAS ITS GOOD DAYS ALONG WITH ITS BAD ONES SO IT ALL EVENS OUT.

Have no plans for the day. Frank got up to use the bathroom and told me he was going back to bed, don't blame him, it's very gray outside and still, not a leaf is moving.

HOPE TO REPOT SOME HOUSEPLANTS. MAY HAVE TO WAIT ON ONE FOR HLEP FROM DS.

DARRELL HAS A CHECK UP TOMORROW AND I WILL HAVE AN EYE APPOINTMENT ON FRIDAY.

I NEED SOME CLOTHES. WHAT I HAVE IS WORN OUT AND DOESN'T FIT. TOO LARGE. UNUSUAL FOR ME. USUALLY CLOTHES ARE TOO SMALL. HARD FOR ME TO WAR READY TO WEAR OFF THE RACK. NEED ALERATIONS. NOW THAT I CAN'T SEW, A PROBLEM. NEED SOME DRESSY OUTFITS AND CLOTHES TO WEAR AROUND THE HOUSE.

STARTED THIS EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON. NATURALLY THE DAY HAS GOTTEN AWAY FROM ME. NO REPOTTING TODAY/ DRAT IT.

AT LEAST LAUNDRY IS DOING BETTER/ SHOULD HAVE STARTED SOMEHTING FOR SUPPER. DO HAVE SOMETHING TO FIX THAT WILL BE EASY.

TODAY IS CARDIO-CHECKUP DAY FOR ME. MY DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW WILL TAKE ME. THEY ALWAYS BRING ALONG THEIR 2 BIG DOGS, WRANGLER AND GEMMA, BOTH BLACK AND VERY LOVING. I SIT IN THE FRONT AND MY DAU SITS IN THE BACK WITH THE DOGS. SON-I-L DRIVES. I AM HOPING FOR GOOD NEWS ONCE AGAIN. ONE GOOD POINT, I'VE LOST ANOTHER 2 LBS SO MY NEW DR SHOULD LIKE THAT. I KNOW MY DR. JOHN WOULD HAVE.

I BROKE EVEN AT BINGO LAST NITE AND WITH MY HELPING DEAR L WHO IS A BIT SLOW, SHE WON 3 TIMES. ITS A BIG WINNING NIGHT FOR HER. NOW I AM ASHAMED TO HAVE COMPLAINED YESTERDAY ABOUT HAVING TO HELP HER. SHE DESERVES SOME WINS AND IT KEEPS ME ON MY TOES.

TOMORROW I PLAN ON MAKING SOME BUNDIES AND MAYBE SOME MAC AND CHEESE. I AM NOT SURE OF THE LATTER, BUT SURE ON THE BUNDIES. I AM GETTING A CRAVING AND MY SON LOVES THEM.

I DID NOT SEW YESTERDAY BUT SORTED THRU FABRICS AND PULLED SOME OTHERS. I CHANGED A COUPLE OF BACKGROUNDS. I RE-DREW THE PATTERNS ONTO FRESH PAPER SO I CAN SAVE THE ORIGINALS IN CASE I WANT TO MAKE OTHERS WITH THE SAME SUBJECTS. I WILL HAVE TO DO SOME SEWING EITHER LATER TODAY OR MAYBE IN THE MORNING. I KNOW THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW WILL TAKE ALL OF MY TIME FOR BUNDIE MAKING.

THE DAY IS LOVELY AND SUNNY. AGAIN TEMPS IN THE 60S DAYS AND 40S NITE. MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW IS OPEN TO THE FRESH AIR OFF THE RIVER. LOVING IT.

I AM THANKFUL FOR......
1. ANOTHER LOVELY DAY.
2. FOR THE ABILITY TO GET AROUND ENOUGH TO GET TO MY DR'S OFFICE ON MY OWN 2 LEGS EVEN IF ITS WITH THE HELP OF MY CANE.

Another beautiful fall day! I did some browsing on the computer, then tidied up the kitchen, put away the dishes, moved some things around.

Sandra, hoping you have a good cardiologist appointment!

Janet, forgot to say, I got a chuckle over your “no one fell into the pool.” Always a good outcome!

I had DVR’d 1883, the Yellowstone prequel, and I’ve been watching that. It’s the story of the Dutton family and others as they made their way from Ft Worth, TX to try to go to Oregon on a wagon train, and the awful hardships they faced. I’d be a terrible pioneer, I like my creature comforts! Tim McGraw and Faith Hill play two of the main characters. I’m not a country music person, so I’d barely heard of them, but they are excellent. And Sam Elliot is always terrific. I have two more episodes to watch.

Tucker, the contractor, is coming Saturday to talk price and options about making my porch a 3 season porch.

Looking out the back door yesterday, I saw something blue or purple at the back of the fence. It was a hydrangea bloom! It's my first ever and I was so excited to see it. The leaves have been black spotted so I thought it would never bloom.

Holly, I'm surprised the metal ones don't hold their value. I had some plastic ones I took to Goodwill years ago.

Sandra, I hope you get a good doctor report today.

I pinned my green/pink quilt I made last summer. I haven't been too enthused about it since I used 5" precut blocks & they seemed to stretch too much. I'm using it as my first quilting project on my embroidery machine. We'll see how this goes. Getting ready to start it. I chose a double run pattern, but that takes too long, so I found a single run pattern I'm using. If I mess up, not crazy about this quilt anyway, lol.

Good Morning to everyone!! Hope you are all feeling well! There's a little bit of sun up really high on the trees across the street, but none down low, it's also breezy up really high. Beautiful morning, it is 54* for now.

I have no plans for the day, believe Tracy and family are leaving tomorrow for a trip to Eastern Washington, should be nice, Rhonda is also leaving for a trip to Fort Casey today, will be back Sunday. Lovely that they can get some trips in.

Frank is still sleeping, coughing a lot, hope he's not got a cold. He was out for his PT yesterday, cancelled his trip for today or tomorrow, but will pick it up again next week. We're just a couple of old fools, carrying on. Have nothing more to say, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

YESTERDAY WAS BEAUTIFUL. WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK. A LITTLE RAIN IS PREDICTED FOR TODAY.

I FOUND IT. I FOUND IT!!!!

I FINISHED THE LAST CORNER IN MY BEDROOM/QUILT STUDIO THIS MORNING AND BENEATH 3 CARTONS OF FREEZE-DRIED FOODS WAS MY CONTAINER OF STAINED GLASS AND A CARTON OF FLORAL FQs.
THE PLASTIC CONTAINER ALSO HAS SEVERAL FABRICS FOR PRETTY BACKGROUNDS WHEN DOING STAINED GLASS.
THANK YOU THOSE WHO OFFERED TO HUNT AND SEND ME SOMETHING BUT ITS NO LONGER NEEDED. SAVE YOUR FABRIC AND YOUR POSTAGE. I HAVE PLENTY NOW.

ITS AN IFFY DAY HERE TODAY. SOME SUN THEN SOME CLOUDS AND PEEKING OUT BEHIND FLUFF IS MORE SUNSHINE. WE ARE EXPECTING RAIN THOUGH THIS WEEKEND BUT TEMPS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. NICE.
MY APPT WENT WELL WITH MY NEW DR. HE'S SO SWEET AND FUNNY AND I LIKE HIM. HE TOOK THE TIME TO GET TO KNOW ME MORE AND BRING OUT THE FUN IN ME. MAYBE TRYING TO SEE IF I WAS GETTING ON THE SENILE SIDE OR NOT BUT WE LAFFED ABOUT A FEW THINGS AND I FEEL SAFE WITH HIM.
I AM DOING WELL AND NO NEED YET FOR THAT PACEMAKER. HE SAID TO DO WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY LOSING MORE WEIGHT WILL BE BETTER FOR ME IN THE LONG RUN. SO I THINK I'LL KEEP SWEET DR. ADAM. HE'S YOUNG AND A CHARMER.
HE SAID MY DR JOHN WANTED TO RETIRE AT 65 SO HE COULD DO THE THINGS HE LOVED BEFORE HE WAS TOO DECREPIT, WOOD-WORKING. HE'S BUILDING A BOAT RIGHT NOW. KEEPING BUSIER NOW THAN WHEN HE WAS A DOCTOR BUT THAT'S USUALLY WHAT HAPPENS. ITS GOOD TO HEAR.

TODAY WILL BE BUSY. I AM ACTUALLY A BIT TIRED AFTER HUNTING THE LAST CORNER OF THAT ROOM AND RE-ORGANIZING IT. NOW THINGS ARE NEATER AND I AM SO RELIEVED TO FIND THAT FABRIC. I THOUGHT I MUST HAVE TOSSED IT BUT KNEW I HAD LOTS OF IT. IN THIS CASE, IT REALLY IS THE LAST PLACE I LOOKED SINCE THAT CORNER WAS THE VERY LAST PLACE TO CHECK BEFORE I COULD GET BACK TO SEWING AGAIN KNOWING ALL WAS IN ITS RIGHTFUL PLACE.
MY SHEDULE TODAY INCLUDES MAKING BUNDIES AND MAC AND CHEESE FOR ME AND OTHERS. THAT'S A LOAD AND WILL KEEP ME ON MY TOES. I WANT THE MAC AND CHEESE FOR SUPPER FOR EVERYONE TODAY SO THE BUNDIES WILL GET MADE EARLIER AND REFRIGERATED. MY SON IS HAPPY ABOUT THE FOOD HE'LL TAKE HOME TOMORROW.
THAT'S IT FROM ME. I NEED TO GET RESTING A BIT BEFORE TACKLING THE LOAD.

1. FINDING THAT ELUSIVE FABRIC AND HAVING MY ROOM FINISHED.
2. GETTING A CARDIO DOCTOR REPLACEMENT I LIKE AND RESPECT.
3. HAVING YOU FRIENDS TO 'TALK' TO EVERY DAY.
