Oh! Devonne! I absolutely adore your fall wallhanging! Very nice!
Eye appointment yesterday revealed that issues with my cornea are advancing, progressing rapidly so I need to see a cornea specialist. From what I understand, these issues are likely related to many years of wearing hard contact lenses, multiple eye surgeries and lasers, as well as possible inherited issues. Good news is that there are treatments and the excessive blurry vision likely won't be permanent! 🙏🏻 My glasses rx has changed rapidly over the last 6 months since I received new lenses, but at least knowing this isn't the glaucoma accelerating is a relief! 🤗 And my retinas are intact! Always great news! 😊
We'll wait and see what the cornea specialist has to say, 🤷🏼♀️and my usual doc hopes to get me in to see that specialist before my next glaucoma tests in mid-December. 👍🏻
📱 DH is calling, so I better run

Good Morning, it is cold this morning, only 33*, time to bring inside my plants, hopefully, they didn't get too cold last night. It is completely still outside this morning, a few leaves are fluttering.
Devonne, loved your quilted piece, it is so lovely, so nice some of you can still quilt, miss it so much!! Don't have anything to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

OUR 4 LOCAL TV STATIONS ARE ONGOING WITH THEIR COVERAGE OF THIS HORROR. SUCH A SAD TIME FOR SO MANY FAMILIES. AS OF THIS MOMENT THEY HAVE NOT CAUGHT THE MANIAC. WE ARE ASKED TO STAY AT HOME AND SCHOOLS NEAR AND AROUND LEWISTON ARE CLOSED FOR NOW. PRAY FOR THE FAMILIES.
DEVONNNE.......YOUR FALL WH IS SO CUTE. LOVE IT. YOU DID GOOD.
DIANE......GOOD NEWS ON THE EYES NOT BEING BLURRY PERMANENTLY. I HOPE THINGS IMPROVE QUICKLY FOR YOU. A HOPE AND A PRAYER WINGING YOUR WAY.
JUDY......I CAN UNDERSTAND WATCHING THE BAD NEWS ALL THE TIME WORKING ON HIS PSYCHE. MAKES ONE SO SAD. A FRIEND OF MINE ONLY READ TRUE CRIME BOOKS AND HAD A SOUR OUTLOOK PRETTY MUCH. ME, I STAY AWAY FROM THE HORRORS AND SADNESS AS MUCH AS I CAN. I LIKE PRETTY, COLORFUL, UPLIFTING, AND FUNNY JOKES AND GOOD FUN TV AND MOVIES WITH SOME COMIC ELEMENT IF POSSIBLE, AND MY READING TENDS TO BE GOOD FAMILY LIFE OR LIGHT-WEIGHT MYSTERIES. I BELIEVE IT KEEPS ME ON AN EVEN KEEL.
CHERYL.....SORRY YOU HAD A PROB WITH THE 1ST CATARACT SURGERY. IF ITS THE SANDY FEELING IN THE EYE, IT WILL GO AWAY. AND EVERYTHING WILL LOOK CLEARER IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. KEEP THE FAITH.
I PLAN TO FINISH MY 'BATS ALOFT' WH TODAY. ITS BY MY MACHINE TO BE MACHINE QUILTED OR ECHO QUILTED ACTUALLY. THEN THE BINDING BROUGHT FROM BACKING TO FRONT LIKE DEVONNE MENTIONED SHE DID HER LAST ONE.
FOR SUPPER TONITE ITS POTATO PANCAKES WITH SOUR CREAM. I SURE MISSED HAVING THOSE. I HOPE TO MAKE ENOUGH FOR MORE THAN ONE MEAL IF THE ARM HOLDS OUT WHEN GRATING THOSE TATERS. THAT'S WHAT MAKES ME SOOO TIRED.
TODAY IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. SUN IS SHINING AND TEMPS HITTING THE LOW 70S TODAY AND LAST NITE I KEPT MY WINDOW OPEN TO THE NICE 60S FRESH AIR. LOVE IT.
I AM THANKFUL FOR A BEAUTIFUL DAY TODAY TO ENJOY.
I AM THANKFUL FOR GOOD FOOD ON MY TABLE.
I AM THANKFUL FOR THE ENERGY TO CONTINUE TO SEW AND QUILT SINCE I ENJOY IT SO MUCH.
HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Cheryl, I'm glad you are now able to have the other eye done and soon! Hope it goes a lot better this time.
Diane, that's good news there are treatment options. Hope those can get started soon and you will be able to tell a difference.
Sandra, you did a great job! Did you satin stitch around each bat? That's a lot of work, but it's perfect!
Not sewing any today. I did cut out the backing for the next wallhanging. I'm going to cut it on the kitchen island so no bending over. It's the Halloween one, so I will get it done just before Halloween. I can then get started back on my Christmas quilt blocks. I ordered a lumbar back support for my sewing chair. Hope it will help.

GOOD AFTERNOON!
MOST OF PLANS FOR THIS AFTERNOON GELL BY THE WAYSIDE. LIFE GETS IN THE WAY SOMETIMES.
PRINTED PUT A DAMPLE BALLOT FOR OUR ELECTION. WANT TO VOTE EARLY AND HOPE DS#2 WILL TAKE US. OUR ENTIRE STATE LEGISLATURE IS UP FOR LECTION. DON'T KNOW HO OFTEN THAT HAPPENS. SOME COUNTY OFFICES DON'T HAVE AN OPPONENT AND SOME DO, SO WANT TO DO A LITTLE RESEARCH. HAD TO MAHY SURPISES COME ELECTION DAY. GO FRUSTRATED WHEN I TRIED TO DO SOME SEARCHING ON LOCAL NEWS STATION'S WBSITE. GOT SOME CONSTITUTIOANL CHANGES BUT THEY WERE FOR5 LOUSIANAA. NOT VOTING ON THOSE ISSUES.
THE NEWS IS DEPRESSING. I AM HAVING TO LIMIT MYSELF. PRAYERS ARE MUCH NEEDED FOR THOUSE IN OUR COUNTRY AS WELL AS THE WORKD.
WE ARE HAVING HIGHER TEMPERATURES THAN NORMAL. NICE AND I AM ENJOYING. DIDN'T TURN THE AIR BACK ON, BUT DO HAVE THE CELING FAN GOING HERE IN THE FAMILY ROOM. THIS IS SUPPOSED TP BE THE PEAK FOR FALL COLORS IN THE AREA. IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE COLDER THAN AVERAGE NEXT WEEK. HOPE WE CAN ALL STAY WELL WITH ALL THE CHANGES.
SANDRA. G;AD YOU FINISHED YOUR BAT ALOFT WALL HANGING. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUR WALL HANGING TOO DEVONNE.
JANET, HOPE YOU ARE HAVING A GREAT TIME AT THE RETREAT. THINK FORMER MEMBER OF THE SEWING GUILD HELD SOME CLASSES THERE. I DID CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE. ON A VIDEO, RECONIZED TWO PEOPLE. ONE A LOCAL POLITIIAN AND THE OTHER A FORMER LOCAL NEWSCASTER. HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GO TO ONE OF BRENDA'S AT THE BEACH SOMETIME. LOVE THE LOCATION AND I AM SURE THE FOOD IS GREAT. SHE TOLD ME I COULD COME AND NOT SEW. DON'T THINK I WOULD LIKE THAT. HOPE YOU CAN CHECK OUT HER PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK SOMETIME.
GOOD NEWS ON THE EYES. GUESS I WAS LUCKY ON THE CATARACT SURGEERIES. DARRELL IS REALLY DREADING HAVING HIS DONE.
YEARS AND YEARS AGO, MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER HAD CONRNEA TRANSPLANTS. SHE HAD 6 IN ALL. THE NEW CONRENAS EVENTURALLY WERE DAMAGED BY THE CONDITION THAT COUSED HER TO NEED THEM. IT DID GIVE HER SOME BETTER VISION FOR A GOOD WHILE. ALL IN OUR FAMILY BECAME CONREA DONORS.
WISHING EVERYONE WELL.
THINKING OF ALL. PRAYERS...............................................

YES HOLLY, THAT'S GOOD NEWS. IN A DUMPSTER WHERE HE BELONGS. DID HIMSELF IN AND RIGHTLY SO. SAVES THE COUNTY LOTS OF MONEY AGAINST A TRIAL.
DEVONNE......YES, I SATIN-STITCH ALL THE PIECES IN MY WORKS. EVEN THE SMALL BITS. IT TAKES A LOT OF TIME BUT WORTH IT. I LOVE THE EFFECT OF BLACK SATIN-STITCHING.
I MADE MY POTATO PANCAKES LAST NITE. MMM GOOD. ENOUGH FOR TODAY AS WELL.
LOVELY DAY HERE TODAY. SUN IS SHINING AND ANOTHER DAY IN THE 70S. TOO HOT FOR ME. MY WINDOWS ARE OPEN AND THE FANS ARE GOING BUT STILL TOO WARM. LUCKILY I HAVE A COUPLE OF SMALL PERSONAL FANS AROUND MY NECK TO HELP COOL ME DOWN.
MY PUTER IS GIVING ME HEADACHES. FOR SOME REASON I CANNOT SEND ATTACHMENTS IN MY EMAILS. FUNNY. I THINK I WILL JUST SHUT HER DOWN LATER TODAY AND SEE IF THAT HELPS. FOR NOW I HAVE SITES TO VISIT AND NEED MY EMAILS OPEN FOR MY SON TO GET IN TOUCH. HE IS COMING TODAY TO GET MY PHONE ORGANIZED. I HOPE I HAVE IT UP AND RUNNING BY TONITE. WISH ME LUCK.
I AM THANKFUL FOR GOOD FOOD FOR MY TABLE.
I AM THANKFUL FOR GOOD KIDS.
I AM THANKFUL FOR GOOD NEIGHBORS WHO CHECK EACH OTHER TO SEE IF WE ARE DOING OK.
HUGS, QB S

Good Morning, it is cold again this morning, only 32*. But the sun just came out, so may warm up a bit. I'm feeling strange this morning, head is aching. Tracy came last night, lovely to have her here.
I really should go visit with her. So will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Linda, please tell Darrell I was also dreading cataract surgery. They put drops in your eyes and you don't feel anything. You lay on a table and it's over before you know it. Of course, it's not always so easy for everyone, but my doctor said it's very few.
Sandra, I've seen fabric pieces attached in so many ways. I've seen them glued on, pinned on & heat and bond used a lot. One lady said she pins her pieces on and "free motions the h---- out of it," lol.
I have an angus beef sirloin tip roast in the crockpot with carrots, onions and potatoes. This is my first "angus beef" roast. The hamburger I had at Jeffersons was angus beef & it was the best hamburger I've ever had, so this should be really good.
I still have rotisserie chicken left over from Sams. I'm going to have it for lunch and give some to Molly and Gracie.
I decided to groom them myself. Gracie got herself in a mess, so I had to do it anyway. They feel so much better, but I'm not quite finished. Molly looked at me as if to say "thank you." I'll get Dee to come and trim their toenails.
Have any of you heard of the Social Security Expansion Act proposed by Bernie Sanders? If it were to pass, each SS recipient would get an extra $200 a month ($2,400 a year). This would mean I could get a better car & not worry about the payment. It hasn't passed though, but I have my fingers & toes crossed!

HOORAY FOR ME. I GOT MY NEW PHONE. ITS A GALAXY S20 PLUS. ITS CHARGING RIGHT NOW. I KNOW THERE WILL BE THINGS I NEED TO LEARN ON IT BUT AS LONG AS THE PHONE NUMBER IS THE SAME AND I CAN TEXT, I AM GOOD.
WITH THE INSURANCE, MY SON WILL BE CHARGED ONLY $30 FOR THIS NEW PHONE. I AM GLAD HE HAD THE INSURANCE AND THE PROBS WITH THE PHONE WERE INSURABLE.
HUGS

Beautiful here, 80 and sunny! By Wednesday it will be in the 50’s! Ralph’ mouth is sore, I made him scrambled eggs for lunch and grilled cheese for dinner. The stitches come out Friday.
Next weekend is the time change, yikes!
Nothing new here, I crochet with the TV on, and read. Hallmark is showing new movies, but I’m not in the mood for them yet. Too sweet right now. I’m watching Van Der Valk in PBS from my DVR.
I saw on Facebook that Yosemite has snow!
