Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Devonne- Yes. I have purchase a number of things from Etsy shops.  Fabric, lace, thread, wool for wool embroidery, buttons, etc.  They are sometimes more expensive but I can usually find things especially fabric that is out of production or out of stock at other online stores.  Check them out.  Oh and DH has bought things from Etsy too.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

This will be brief, due to the evening hour.  But, I wanted to check in.  We got up to 3-4 inches of snow cover this morning.  It's gone, now.  Earliest date I can remember.  I tried to beat Patty, but didn't happen!!

Happy belated birthday, Devonne.  I actually remembered on my own.  You and another person I know were Halloween babies. Love your wall hanging.  Looks good to me...   Glad  you found your wallet.  Yikes!

Lots going on here.  Took me awhile to read everyone's posts.  Will try to come back tomorrow with more time.     Sweet Dreams

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Indy, sorry I beat you this year!!😁

I'm at quilt camp.  My friend and I arrived this afternoon so we could get everything set up.  Everyone else will start arriving after eight tomorrow.  It's a fun group of ladies.
I made one block tonight.  This pattern has given me trouble every step of the way.  I am finally down to seven blocks left.  Will be glad when it's over.  Maybe not this weekend though.

It was a beautiful sunset over the lake tonight.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

The top one has a border  with flying geese that I didn’t get to at retreat.
The second one is made of hand dyed fabric from Africa that I bought 15+ years ago.
The third was a kit that DH picked out last year at the AQS show in Daytona.
All done at this past retreat.  I also finished some Block Lotto Blocks for an upcoming  spring retreat.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Sunny and chilly here also. I saw on facebook that Theresa just got to Houston for the quilt show. It’s such an experience !

I got up and made pineapple banana bread and tidied up the kitchen, which seems to be a full time job.
We ordered the flooring for the porch, the same as I have in the kitchen. The floor guy is coming tomorrow to measure.

We have 4 Amazon Alexa’s- kitchen, living room, family room and sewing room. I use them to play music. Today, with Alexa’s help, I was able to make them a group and play the same music throughout the house! Right now Taylor Swift, but soon, Xmas music.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Good Morning to everyone.  Well, Frank wound up in hospital last evening, didn't have to stay, they did a bunch of tests, sent him home.  Rhonda took him and Tracy came over.  We all got to bed late.  Tracy is getting ready to leave and head home.  She reached someone to work for her this morning.  Assume she is working this afternoon.  Well, Frank just woke up, heard Tracy talking to him.

It is raining really hard this morning, know we need it, but would love to be without it.  It is really dumping, so sorry Tracy has to drive in it.  Well, I don't really have anything to say this morning so will just sign off, wishing you all well, Love, BJ.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

BJ......I HOPE WHATEVER FELLED YOUR BELOVED IS MINOR AND OVERWITH NOW THAT HE'S HOME.  WISHING YOU BOTH ALL THE BEST.

PATTY.....HAVE FUN AT QUILT CAMP.  I KNOW THERE'S LOTS OF WORK WHEN YOU HAVE TO DO THE THINGS TO GET READY FOR IT.  GOOD LUCK.

I GOT MY 2 SHOTS, FLU AND COVID.  I HOPE I DON'T HAVE ANY REACTIONS OTHER THAN MINOR LIKE IN THE PAST.   FOR ME ITS BEEN A BIT OF ACHING ARMS AND THE 2ND DAY A LITTLE FEELING A BIT TIRED FOR THE DAY BUT THAT'S THE EXTENT.  WISHING FOR LESS OF THE SAME.

I HAVE TATER TOT CASSEROLE SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY.  MY SON MAY NOT SHOP TIL SUNDAY BUT IT WILL KEEP FINE FOR A DAY.  I LOVE IT WITH JIMMY DEAN SAUSAGE WHICH HAS A BIT OF A BITE TO IT.  I THINK THE NEXT TIME I MAKE THE CHICKEN AND STUFFING CASSEROLE I WILL ADD SOME J DEAN SAUSAGE LIKE I DID WHEN I STUFFED A WHOLE TURKEY MAKING SAUSAGE STUFFING.  ALWAYS TASTED GREAT TO ME AND THE FAMILY.  I AM DEFROSTING SOME GROUND BEEF RIGHT NOW AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WILL MAKE WITH IT.  I MAY MAKE SOMETHING WITH NOODLES THIS TIME.

NO SEWING FOR ME TODAY.  I LIKE TO TAKE A BIT OF A VACATION FROM SEWING BETWEEN HOLIDAYS.  I HAVE MY THANKSGIVING WHS UP AND AROUND WHICH INCLUDE FALL WHS.
I WON THREE FIFTY LAST NITE AT BINGO.  I COULD HAVE CLAIMED ANOTHER WIN BUT WHEN I LOOKED OVER AT THE CARD OF THE SLOW PERSON, I SAW SHE HAD ALL THE TOP ROW COVERED AND IN CHECKING SHE GOT HERS DONE BEFORE I GOT MY LAST SPACE.  I TEND TO STILL GLANCE AT HER CARDS EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN ORDERED, YES ORDERED, NOT TO CHECK THEM.  THEY WANT ME TO CALL ONLY.  THE PERSONS (2 OF THEM) HELPING HER DID WELL THOUGH WITH K WINNING 3 TIMES LAST NITE IN TOTAL.  THEY JUST MISSED THIS ONE GAME FOR SOME REASON.  MAYBE FROM CHECKING THEIR OWN NUMBERS MORE CLOSELY.  I'VE HAD TO RE-CALL NUMBERS FOR ONE OF THE LADIES A FEW TIMES.  OUR SLOW K INADVERTANTLY MOVES SOME OF HER STONE MARKERS WITH A SLEEVE WHICH COMPLICATES THINGS.  HER SLEEVE WAS THEN ROLLED UP.  SO ONWARD AND UPWARD GOES THE CREW.

THAT'S IT FROM MY CORNER OF THE GLOBE.  ANOTHER COLD DAY IN THE 40S BUT MY WINDOW BEHIND ME IN THE LIVING ROOM IS OPEN FOR FRESH AIR. THE SUN IS BRIGHT.  NICE BUT COLD DAY.
I AM THANKFUL FOR ENOUGH FOOD IN MY CUPBOARDS TO FEED ME FOR WEEKS.
I AM THANKFUL FOR GOOD FRIENDS IN THIS BUILDING.
I AM THANKFUL TO GET MY FLU AND COVID SHOTS HERE IN THE BUILDING SO NO JOUSTING WITH APPTS WITH DRIVERS AND THE PHARMACY'S SCHEDULE AGAIN THIS YEAR.
HAVE A FINE DAY FRIENDS.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Congrats on your win, Sandra!
I put up 2 recipes on the recipe section that I’ve made this week. The chicken and asparagus casserole, and a sauerkraut casserole. Both were given thumbs up by Ralph. Both were found on Facebook. He’s so easy to cook for, and always thanks me and helps clean up. There’s a lot of things I can’t cook due to his and my food allergies, but that’s life.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

I met Greg at Longhorn for a birthday lunch. It's one of my favorite restaurants.

I went to Michaels & Hobby Lobby looking for fabric. Found a few at each place. I'm going to Joanns in the morning. I have a feeling I'm going to be coming home and ordering online, lol.

Dee came by and cut Molly and Gracie's toenails. They had gotten quite long. They are such enjoyable company for me!

Patty, have fun at quilt camp!

Sandra, that's a good win for you. How convenient you could get your flu and Covid shots in your building.

Trish, how are you feeling?

BJ, sounds like Frank is ok and nothing serious.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

GOSH, I HIT A KEY AND LOST IT ALL.  LUCKY FOR ME IT WAS ONLY 2 PARAGRAPHS.

OK HOLLY.......I LIKE THE SOUND OF THAT ASPARAGUS RECIPE SO I WROTE IT DOWN FOR FUTURE USE.  DID YOU CRUMBLE YOUR OWN BREAD FOR THE CRUMBS OR USE PACKAGED LIKE PANKO OR PROGRESSO ITALIAN CRUMBS?

I FOUND AN EASY BEEFY NOODLE SKILLET RECIPE ON YOUTUBE WITH CATHERINE'S PLATE I AM GOING TO TRY TODAY.  I HAVE THE FEW INGREDIENTS NEEDED AND I HAVE A COUPLE OF NEIGHBORS WILLING TO TEST IT OUT WITH ME.  I WILL LET YOU KNOW IF ITS A WINNER OR NOT WITH US NORTH COUNTRY FOLK.

ITS ANOTHER COLD BUT SUNNY DAY HERE.  TEMPS ARE NOT GETTING UP ABOVE THE 40S LATELY.  BUT I'M FINE WITH IT.  I HAVE NOT YET TURNED ON MY HEAT AND I OPEN THE WINDOW BY MY DINING TABLE WHERE I HAVE MY PUTER AND PLAY SOLITAIRE.  I LOVE THE FRESH AIR.
I AM THANKFUL THAT AFTER MY 2 SHOTS YESTERDAY, I ONLY SUFFERED SOME ACHING ARMS FOR SEVERAL HOURS IN THE LATE EVENING.  NO OTHER FUNNY BUSINESS HAPPENING SO FAR THOUGH I MAY GET TIRED EASIER TODAY.
I AM THANKFUL FOR A FULL FREEZER.
I AM THANKFUL FOR A SON WHO SHOPS FOR ME TWICE A MONTH AND GETS TO MY BANK FOR ME.  HE'S A KEEPER.
HAVE A GOOD DAY MY FRIENDS.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Good Morning, thanks to those folks who mentioned Frank being in the hospital.  He's doing fine and is in the shower this morning, getting ready for a Dr. appt. early.  Rhonda is coming by to take him, she's a peach!!

It is very still and around 50* this morning, so nothing to worry about.  I was just thinking about my neighbors, they are not very friendly, except for George.  But he and his wife both have Covid, so not seeing any of them lately.  Hope they are doing well.

Well, I really don't have anything to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, Hugs to all, BJ.

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Sandra, I used panko breadcrumbs.

BJ, our neighbor Dave is the best, and on the other side Kate is Diesel and Daisy’s mom (they are pits), we text if there is something going on. And Ralph sees the guy across the street, Tim, when they are snow blowing.

The floor guy was here to measure, so that’s done. Ralph goes to the dentist to get his stitches out in a few minutes.

We’re still in the 50’s and 60’s here, low 40’s most nights. And the time changes over the weekend, boo.

BJ, I’m so glad Frank is ok!

Re: ODT SUNDAY OCT 29 ~ SAT NOV 4

Caleb and Sadie Grace are here. We had hotdogs and hashbrowns for dinner. Sadie Grace doesn't eat much at all. I think Caleb's loud screaming is for attention, but I ended that so I could survive the evening. They were "going to" spend the night but they think I have "monsters," lol.

I found some fabric at Joanns today and bought 10 FQ's for $10. They don't seem to be very high quality, but they will do. We had Chickfil-a for lunch after the trip to Joanns. Logan works in that area so Gary & the kids went to see him while I was in Joanns.

I didn't know about the time change this weekend. Thanks, Holly!
